Microsoft Natural Ergonomic 4000 Keyboard is built on a very sturdy base; very thick wrist-rest is built in. You’ve got the forward and backward buttons for Internet surfing; num lock and scroll lock indicator lights, as well as your favorites button and macro keys up here. Calculator button and your usual layout here, except there’s a zoom button now. As you can see, it’s more ergonomic. You’ve got your home button, your search, your mail – these can all be mapped to different applications with the included software. Your hand, as I mentioned in another video, is resting more naturally than a traditional keyboard, and it uses USB. It’s a wired keyboard, as you can see it’s very thick. There’s two stands here, and with this grey-black finish, overall it looks really nice. Here at Mr. Tech Reviewers, we reviewed many keyboards before, but never an ergonomic one such as the Microsoft one you see here today. So those who are suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome should give this a try. It would actually make a pretty good gaming keyboard because of all these extra buttons up here; you can map them to different functions.

Data desk Smart, Typematrix 2030 and Truly Ergonomic are far superior …
All three were designed in North America.
(I will have the last one in mars…)

[..YouTube..] I love this keyboard. Very satisfied with it. It took some time to get used to typing on it, but now I am up to speed. One thing worries me though. The A key is starting to vanish. The other keys are not affected. The lower end of the serif is disappering.
It’s quiet with the glaring exception of the keyboard, which is as loud as
a stiff conventional KB.
[..YouTube..] @MrTechReviewers I have this keyboard. Had it since february 2011. The last weeks the letter key ‘A’ has almost totally faded out. No other key seems to suffer from this. Have you experienced this yourself?
[..YouTube..] @fridrikur no sorry I don’t have this problem yet, you can however since there are screws on the bottom of the keyboard, unscrew them to see if that F key will loosen up, as for the faded letter, on ebay there are decals that you can buy for keyboards so I would look there. Hope this helps!

[..YouTube..] Lol, noone seems to review the real form of this keyboard. The additional bracket which raises the front of the keyboard is not for showing off. It actually makes it better to write for longer periods.

[..YouTube..] @fridrikur My D,C,V,B,M,L are all suffering from loss of lettering from total to just a bit gone. doesn’t worry me, i don’t look at the keyboard when typing, i have never had it happen before though. Keys have usually gone really shiny from use before the letters have looked like they were going to come off.

[..YouTube..] i would say dont buy it, cause of poor quality (fading) and some of keys doesnt work properly after using it for 3 years 🙂
i will say: if you need a keyboard for 12- 18months max, buy it, but if you need a good keyboard for a few years look for mechanical one.

To a programmer, computer enthusiast or simply a gamer is important to know how keyboards feels. I understand you trying to put information to what is written on the box. Some people remind you to put your own thoughts about it and i totally agree. Why do i agree because when buying keyboard to person is important many factors…

[..YouTube..] keys(sturdy, soft),keys layout(for example above Num keyboard there is additional 4 keys that help programmers a lot), exceptions(Enter key smaller then on other keyboards but doesn’t effect work), the wrist holder is fabric and not plastic nice feel to it,and much more. Remember this is my opinion on your video in no way I’m attacking you, but in life there is always space for improvement.

Pretty good gaming keyboard? lol
How much is it? I want on so I have to start saving
It’s around $40.
Its funny i need a keyboard like this. I hate small keyboard buttons i can’t type fast enough without having one. I do have carpal tunnel my fingers and hands tend to hurt when am playing for at least 2 hours within 20 minute breaks its a pain in the ass but that’s what i get for playing long hours of gaming 😉 i can deal with the pain but it starts getting extreme to the point where i can game anymore but oh well!!!
IF you are still looking to buy the keyboard, it is going on sale right now on Newegg for $20…
Picked one of these up at Staples yesterday (Boxing day) and tax included it cost less than 30$. Took me a couple hours to fully adjust, which is all it should really take anyone who knows how to type properly. I suppose people using the 2-finger method, or any other improper method, might have a harder time.
Overall it’s great. Very comfortable, the keys are quiet, and hotkeys are very easy to customize. For the price it would probably be hard to find something better.
I got one of these keyboards too, and I love how they replaced the F buttons to common tasks in Microsoft Office because no one uses the F functions that much
I’ve used this keyboard for over 2 and a half years. Vary good for typing. also vary hard to come back to a normal flat keyboard. I have noticed some of the buttons aren’t vary good for gaming. mostly the space bar feels like i need to be pressed down for awhile but other then that. this is still the best computer I’ve ever used.
Pretty good video and that keyboard in did is one of the nieces pieces of equipment that you can get out there for a normal price
I don’t understand how this is ergonomic. I’ve tried typing on one, and it strained the hell out of my hands.
I program and game alot and have used this keyboard for the last 8 yrs. All I can say is after trying 4 or 5 other keyboards since owning this one I have yet to find one that works nearly as well for me.
This is the only type of keyboard that i like to use. Normal keyboards give me terrible wrist pain. This one lets your hands rest naturally and not be all twisted out of shape like normal keyboards. I have one for work and home. Absolutely fantastic.
Got it at goodwill for 3 dollars
I wouldn’t recommend this keyboard for gaming; it has a 3-4 key rollover
People -- never use a ‘wrist rest’ to rest your wrist on. You shouldn’t
rest your wrist on anything -- that’s what can lead to Carpal tunnel
issues. Instead, rest your palm on it.
What will happen they put this in a Laptop? It’s possible! Just need a lot
of things be rearranged or compacted.
How do you do a keyboard review without even plugging it in? Amazing.
What is the difference in the retail model and business model?
“more aeronomical” XD
