Question: I went back to rheumatologist today and he says that as the cortisone jab did not work. I don’t have arthritis?! It is now upper limb disorder. Am I an RSI member now? What can you tell me about this?
Answer 1: RSI is also called Work Related Upper Limb Disorder. So you have a diagnosis of work-related disability. You should now be protected more strongly by legislation than before. I suggest you see someone at your local Citizens Advice Bureau immediately to ask them what to do next.
Answer 2: I was given a steroid injection to my wrist, which made my RSI worse. My specialist advised that this ruled out Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. In specific RSI cases these injections can benefit.
