Something that helped me

On the subject of mice/mouses/rodents/pointing devices or whatever: I’ve been using software called “Sensiva” (http://www.sensiva.com) which allows routine commands or keystrokes to be entered using shapes “drawn” with the right button of the mouse. I’ve used things like this before and found them gimmicks, but this one works and I’d be lost without it.  From the point of view of strain it is useful on larger screens where wide sweeps of the hand are required to access, for example, the minimise button or tool bars. I now just make a “down left” motion with the right button down, and minimise is called. The wide motion previously required is replaced by a short sweep – much more relaxing, and a lot faster. The only downside is that right drag is disabled, but I can live with that.
