The Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and RSI

Following on from the feedback about RSI being covered or not covered by the DDA, I have come across a useful booklet published by The Employers’ Forum on Disability entitled ‘A Practical Guide to Employment Adjustments for People Disabled due to Progressive or Fluctuating Conditions’. RSI could easily fall into the fluctuating category and the booklet explains how the Act protects people with such conditions. It covers ill-health, recruitment and selection, disclosure, confidentiality, workplace adjustments, issues like time-keeping, stamina and concentration, rehabilitation, sickness absence, annual performance reviews, retention etc.
