Question: My left thumb seems to have developed a slight twitch. This follows a few days where my left wrist has been a little sorer than usual. My thumb is not painful but it is irritating and distracting. This has happened a couple of times in the past few months but only for a few minutes – this has been going on now on and off since yesterday. It seems to have started after typing. Symptoms up till now have been tendonitis/tenosynivitis rather than nerve-related. Could this be connected with my RSI? Has anyone else had any experience of this?
Answer : I definitely get some twitching too (in addition to elbow tendonitis and the usual stiff/sore neck/back). As far as I can tell, this happens when I am under a lot of stress. I treat it as a less-painful-than-usual symptom of RSI. I find reducing my stress load gets rid of it.
